One standard optical confirmation evolved from intensive use of this system in routine operation of slides generated in aerobiology. The magnification resembles a conventional 20x magnification and the CCD 3.1M camera provides the resolution given by the optical system. The total coverage of the slide area by an appropriate number of images can be met with an objective of half the magnification.
